Supporting developers, especially at the early stages of a project, is a common role for architects. The first steps often involve presenting proposals, assembling a team, and providing guidance on a wide range of matters. In this case, the developer was inexperienced, making it even more critical to offer comprehensive support and go the extra mile to facilitate the process for our client.
The site posed several constraints, primarily its proximity to local amenities and neighbouring housing. To address these challenges, our proposal focused on a traditional construction approach. This solution not only respected the site’s context but also aligned with the client’s initial requirements. The final result speaks for itself, demonstrating that our approach was the right one, successfully resolving the constraints while meeting the client’s expectations.
